Figures, Rudiments, Lower Grammar
Pupils are placed broadly into three ability sets in Figures and Rudiments and four sets in Lower Grammar. Each set follows a resource-based scheme of work, with supporting book work, which matches national standards and allows for enrichment at each stage.
All pupils are prepared with the necessary skills to embark upon their GCSE Mathematics and the top set in Lower Grammar begin the GCSE course work as the year progresses.
Topics covered include: Number and algebra; patterns and sequences; Integers; Fractions, percentages and ratio; Decimals; Calculations; Shape, space and measures; Graphs and Handling Data.
