Photography Club Trip to Whalley Abbey

The origins of the Abbey date back to 1296, with the Church being built between 1330 and 1380.  The outline of the transepts and choir stalls are still easy to discern as you stand in front of the restored altar.  These ruins, along with the picturesque cloister walls, kitchens, and courtyards, make an ideal subject for interested photographers.  You can see below some of the shots we took, both in colour and monochrome, of this beautiful place right on our doorstep.
