Michael McCullough, John Golden, Henry Taylor and a few bears!

Why is everyone at Stonyhurst clutching a teddy-bear? Answer: John Golden, this year’s Chairman of the Poetry Banquet committee, has come up with a clever fund-raising initiative. “I emailed lots of stores, asking if they would like to make a donation to SCHT (Stonyhurst Children’s Holiday Trust)” said John. “Harrods was the only store to reply, and offered 20 of their Maxwell bears. I asked them if they could give us a few more and their Charities and Donations manager raised the number to 240! They’re going fast, so our fund-raising has got off to a good start even before the Banquet next month.”

If you would like a Maxwell bear (and be quick if you do), they are available from Reception.
