This term's Stonyhurst musical, 'Les Miserables' - All seats now taken

All seats for this term's play, Les Miserables, are now reserved for the performances on 28th, 29th November and 1st December (we would be grateful if parents who have booked tickets and find they cannot use them notify school so that they can be made available to others).

Pupils at Stonyhurst College have undertaken an enormous theatrical challenge. They will stage the musical Les Miserables (school edition) later this term.

Auditions for the musical took place recently and rehearsals are now well underway.

The show will be performed entirely by the pupils over three nights, on November 28th and 29th  and the 1st of December at 7.30pm in the Academy Room at Stonyhurst College.

Les Miserables has been running for 21 years, to huge popular acclaim. Based on Victor Hugo's classic story of unjust treatment of the poor and political agitation in 19th century France, it opened at the Barbican Theatre, London in October 1985. Two years later the American version opened at the Broadway Theatre.

Since then, Les Miserables by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg with lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer has travelled the globe and won many major awards, including eight Tony awards, including Best Musical.
