Almost 40 cadets attended the CCF camp at Nesscliffe near Shrewsbury in the first week of July. They took part in a number of rewarding and enjoyable activities and excelled in a number of competitions:

Long Range Silver – Louis Cuddy
Short Range Gold – Christian Butschock – Brain
Short Range Bronze – Tom Wroblewski
Gun Run – Gold (Winners)
Observation Stand – Gold and Bronze
Tug of War – Gold (Winners)

Every one of the cadets received a Gold, Silver or Bronze medal for the competitions they participated in.

Best of all, the Stonyhurst CCF won the ‘Best Contingent’ for the week, and was awarded the Central Camp Silver Platter.

Colonel Barber said: “It was one of the most pleasing and proud moments for myself as Contingent Commander, for the other officers and the RSM, along with all the cadets who attended. The attitude, commitment and fortitude they showed throughout the week was a true testament to the Stonyhurst character.”
