Faith Primary partnership

Stonyhurst’s partnership with Faith Primary in Liverpool continues to thrive, as our Grammarians (pupils in year 10) get to know the school and its pupils. This year’s companions travelled to Liverpool to spend the day with their year 6 partners.

This was the second meeting of the year and it began at the Albert Dock. Everyone explored the Museum of Liverpool and went underground to the old dock, which is actually underneath Liverpool 1 shopping centre.

It was then time to return to Faith Primary, where we presented the school with a cross from Stonyhurst. This was composed of clay squares which the children had made last November  when they visited us, designed on the theme of Remembrance.

After lunch the children we pleased to show us around their school before walking through to the Shewsy Youth Centre where many of them go after school each day.

On leaving Faith Primary, we visited Liverpool Cathedral;  the guides there  welcome us each year  and recall their own fond memories of visiting Stonyhurst. We finished with a peaceful reflection on the day we had spent with the children and prayed for the whole community of Faith Primary and their families.
