Andrea Goodall trained as a Registered General Nurse in the Army Medical Services and subsequently served in the UK and overseas. After 13 years in the army, she moved to the NHS, trained as a Paediatric Nurse and completed a first degree in health studies.
Andrea then worked at Bangor University as a lecturer practitioner in child health for 5 years and thoroughly enjoyed the transition from health to education. She subsequently moved to Llandrillo College, before relocating to Kelly College in Tavistock, where she worked as the School Nurse and taught PSHE.
Andrea has been at Stonyhurst College for almost 6 years and has been Playroom mistress for both Syntax and Higher Line Girls. She has also taught PSHE for the last five years, having completed the National Certificate in PSHE in 2010.
Andrea has a Master’s Degree in Intercultural and international Education and works as a tutor for the Boarding Schools Association. She believes that PSHE lessons are of huge importance and that, alongside the formal curriculum, the extra-curricular programme and pastoral care, they should help students to develop their potential, work productively and creatively, build strong and positive relationships with others and contribute to their community.
