Jesuit school choirs commemorate St John Ogilvie

The choirs of Stonyhurst College, Stonyhurst St Mary’s Hall, and St Joseph’s, Hurst Green, joined the other eight UK Jesuit Schools at St Aloysius College, Glasgow to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the martyrdom of St John Ogilvie. Choristers from all over the country enjoyed rehearsing together on the afternoon of Saturday March 7th for an evening concert in the beautiful church of St Aloysius, and Mass the following day. The senior choirs sang the Vesperae Solemnes de Dominica by Mozart, and the junior choirs sang Ave Verum by James MacMillan, commissioned especially for the occasion.
