U10 Hockey Runners up at Kirkham
Well done to the U10 hockey team who at the end of last term travelled to Kirkham for a fantastic tournament. They got off to a slow start losing their first game to Kirkham 'A' team. Then gradually throughout their day their performances from game to game got better and better qualifying through the group stage and beating Rossall 1-0 in the semi final. SMH then went on to play Kirkham 'A' team again in the final.
SMH dominated the first half and went 1-0 up before half time. Unfortunately we couldn't hold on to our lead and through tiredness after a long afternoon allowed Kirkham to get back in the game. We lost 2-1.
The girls were a credit to the school and deserve much congratulation for their efforts. 'Quant Je Puis'
