May Vigil

May Vigil

May marks the beginning of our celebrations of Mary, our patron saint.  To begin these celebrations we held a Vigil in the chapel.

This event was attended by pupils, staff and parents.  The chapel was never left empty and attendees were able to spend some time in quiet prayer and reflection.  As part of the closing ceremony Hodder House, ably organised by Mrs Gibson, led the lower School in a 'May Procession'.  We all processed to the statue of Mary and flowers were laid at her feet.  The procession then led back to the chapel where the vigil was finished with a Mass.

The intention of the Vigil was for the plight of children all over the world and in particular for our friends at St Paul's Musami in Zimbabwe.
