Holy Island at last! Holy Island

One pilgrim's thoughts....

Walking across the sands of the Pilgrim's Path to Lindisfarne, the soft sand and warm waters shrouding my bare feet in refreshing warmth, I truly saw God in all things. In that moment, he was in the gulls overhead, in the creatures of the sands and the rock pools, in the waters swelling around my aching feet, in all my fellow pilgrims, and I felt him in me. He had sent the cool breeze to refresh us, and he had brought us to the island at last.

Over the course of the pilgrimage that brought us to Holy Island, I am unashamed to say that my faith was tested. From books I was reading, I read other explanations besides God and Church teaching to the questions I yearned for answers to. Yet, through the reasoning and wisdom of Fr. John, Miss Young and Mr. Warrilow, I now understand our Lord Jesus more clearly than ever before.

For my experience and newfound insight, I extend my gratitude to Br. Shepherd, Mr. Warrilow, Fr. John and Miss Young. Thankyou for a wonderful experience.
