English Department Talk: Debbie Horsfield, BBC script-writer
BBC writer, Debbie Horsfield, creator of ‘Cutting It’ and ‘The Riff Raff Element’, among many other projects, gave a fascinating talk to A-level English students on Tuesday evening. A capacity audience in the Bayley Room heard about the career of this double-Bafta-winning writer and were able to partake in an extended Q&A session, getting plenty of tips for their own creative and literary studies. Plans are afoot for a return visit, in which Debbie has offered to run a script-writing workshop in conjunction with the English and Drama departments.
