Last weekend a group of Senior Cadets from Poetry enjoyed putting into practice their navigational, compass and map reading skills in the Coniston area with a night time Navigation Exercise. The group camped in an isolated camping barn, enjoyed a magnificent Lake District sunrise and covered a total of 10 miles in the two day exercise.
The weather conditions were favourable affording the group some spectacular scenery. The return journey was topped off with a most welcomed fish and chip supper in Lancaster.
