4 Stonyhurst teams in Lancashire Cup Finals!
Patrick Porter, Santi Morgan-Garcia, Alex McHugh, William McLean, Will Metcalf, Favour Maduka and Victor Keunen: U15 players in their Lancashire County Rugby kit
On Saturday 25th February the U15s won the Lancashire Cup semi-final against Kirkham 24-12. They will now join the three other Stonyhurst teams – the U14s, U16s and the SMH 1st XV- at the Finals Day on 25th March at Southport.
The seven Grammarians pictured above (pupils in Year 10) were selected for the Lancashire U15 County Rugby teams earlier this year, and played their first Lancashire fixtures over half term, against Cardiff Schools.
Victor Keunen, Favour Maduka, William McLean, Will Metcalf and Patrick Porter played in the full County squad, beating Cardiff 26-24; Victor was Captain and scored 3 tries. Alex McHugh and Santi Morgan-Garcia were selected for the Lancashire President’s XV and also won, 29-26, with Favour scoring 1 try.
