Following its Easter tour to Cardiff, the Stonyhurst Brass Group gave a concert nearer home recently, at Acorns School for children with special needs, in Preston.

The Brass Group performed a varied programme of music, ranging from 'The Hall of the Mountain King' to 'Hey Jude', but it was  'The Simpsons' theme which their young audience enjoyed the most!

"I'm delighted with Brass Group's progress over the year" said Mr Greg Banks, the group's director and brass teacher at Stonyhurst. "The tone, expression, phrasing and range of repertoire have all improved dramatically and performing for a variety of audiences has increased the players' confidence. It was especially rewarding to play for the children at Acorns."
