Malta Swimming Trip

After a successful end to this season's swimming, twelve members of the squad, along with their coach Mr Allanson, Miss Gadsden and Mr Sharples, travelled to Malta for an Easter training camp. The squad trained in the National 50m pool with coaching by International swimmer Davina Mangion. With four hours of training a day this was no holiday, but fun was had by all. In their free time the group went bowling and Go-Karting.
At the end of the tour the group took part in a gala against Maltese swimmers. Even though they were tired they won 11 out of a possible 15 gold medals.
With a combined total of around 100 miles of swimming under their belts and at least one medal each, the team returned home to a sunny England having thoroughly enjoyed their trip. We hope to repeat the trip next year.
