Musicians rehearse with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra!
On Friday 4th March Miss Allen took a group of her youngest musicians on a very big adventure – to rehearse and play with members of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. They travelled to the RLPO’s official rehearsal centre –a converted church in Everton –to play with the West Everton Children’s Orchestra. Apart from the experience of playing in a large orchestra, SMH pupils met and worked with children from the Faith School Liverpool, who have been learning with RLPO members as part of the ‘In Harmony’ Music Scheme, which was televised last year. Stonyhurst has a partnership with Faith Primary, which is strengthened by reciprocal visits and shared activities.
