Author Talk
Mark Walden, author of the H.I.V.E books, gave a talk at St Mary’s Hall this week. He delighted Figures and Rudiments with his ridicule of tights-wearing heroes and his affirmation of swash-buckling villains. (H.I.V.E is a top-secret school of villainy, attended by 13 year-old master criminal Otto Malpense.) Let’s hope his advice on the structure of narrative influences our pupils more than his admiration for trans-global domination. Thanks Mark!
