Arguably, today’s sixth-form students need to think of employment rather than university as the “end-point” of their secondary education. IB Diploma graduates have a range of interlinked skills:

                      R
          W           I   A
          R           T   N
          I N V E S T I G A T I V E
    P     T           C   L
C R E A T I V E       A   Y
    R     N           L   T
    S     G               I
    O                     C
    N         M A T H E M A T I C A L
    A                     L
    L A N G U A G E

Furthermore, employers are increasingly aware that IB graduate have these qualities, and of the advantages the IB confers in the world of employment:

“Students in the UK studying the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme are more likely to achieve a first-class honours award at degree level and go on to more highly-paid jobs after graduation than their contemporaries taking A levels or equivalent qualifications, a new study has revealed.”  (Re:locate, magazine for Human Resources, global managers and relocation professionals, 17 May 2011)
