Poets prepare to make university decisions

All students in Poetry (year 12) enjoyed a visit to Manchester for the North West UCAS Convention. They spoke to Admissions tutors, and attended seminars on university course choices, student finance and gap years. Students collected university prospectuses to further their research into universities and courses they might apply for.

On 17th March a group of 24 Poets attended the Annual Oxbridge Conference at Haydock Park, Newton Le Willows. This gave the Poets a wonderful opportunity to talk to current students and tutors, from both Oxford and Cambridge, and attend talks about making a competitive university application and subject specific presentations. It was a most informative and motivating day for our students planning undergraduate study at these universities.
