Navigational skills honed on Whernside

Junior non-commissioned officers (Poetry) recently undertook a navigation weekend around the Forest of Bowland and the Yorkshire Dales. After practising night-time navigational skills on Saturday, the group then spent the night in Dale House Camping Barn, Gisburn Forest, before a strenuous and chilly ascent of Whernside Peak (736m) on Sunday. Their excellent demonstration of navigational skills was rewarded in Settle with fish and chips on the way home!
