Spanish Film Conference at Lancaster University

On 9th January a group of A2 Spanish students attended a film conference at Lancaster University organised by the ‘routes into languages’ group which promotes language learning.

As part of the A2 Spanish course students are completing a critical study of the film Pan’s Labyrinth, directed by Mexican film director, Guillermo del Toro. The conference was designed to help students to understand cinematographic techniques and use correct terminology in Spanish to analyse the film.

The entire conference was delivered in Spanish by Dr. A Thakkar. Stonyhurst students participated well and demonstrated excellent linguistic skills and knowledge when working in groups with students from other schools.
