The Trustees are the Governors of both Stonyhurst College and St Mary’s Hall and bring a wealth of experience to the Board from their professional working lives which encompass education, safeguarding, accountancy, investments, chaplaincy, law and hospitality.  As unpaid volunteers, they give of their time freely to assist in many areas of school life, but their prime responsibility is to determine the strategy and direction for Stonyhurst.  The Board meets twice per term.

The Trustees conduct the governance of the schools through a series of committees which meet at least once per term: Education, Finance and General Purposes, Safeguarding and Wellbeing, Libraries, Archives and Collections, Nominations and Governance, External Affairs, and International.
