Stonyhurst welcomes feature films, television series, commercials, fashion shoots, documentaries, and branded content, subject to availability and approval.

All filming enquiries are managed exclusively by UK Locations (UKL). They coordinate location access, logistics, and liaison with the estate.

Yes, however, availability may be limited during school term time. Early enquiry is advised to secure preferred dates, particularly for large productions.

Yes. Filming must not disrupt the daily functioning of the college, especially during term time. UKL will advise on permissible times and access areas.

Yes. There is ample space on site for technical vehicles, unit bases, and cast trailers, subject to advance planning and weather conditions.

Drone use is considered on a case-by-case basis and requires appropriate licensing, risk assessments, and prior approval from UKL and the estate.

Yes. Beyond the main college building, the Stonyhurst Estate includes woodlands, sports fields, stone bridges, and rural surroundings that can double for various settings.

Exclusive access may be arranged outside of term time or during holidays. During term, access may be more limited. UKL can advise on availability.

Yes. As a heritage site, no permanent alterations are allowed, and all set dressing must be non-invasive. UKL and conservation staff will advise.

Public liability insurance is mandatory. Risk assessments and method statements must be provided. UKL will guide you through the required paperwork.

Absolutely. UKL will arrange recces and tech scouts, coordinating with estate staff to ensure access to all relevant areas.

Yes. The estate has controlled access and private grounds. Security requirements can be tailored to your production size and sensitivity.

Out-of-hours or overnight filming may incur extra fees due to staffing and security. UKL can provide detailed costing

Absolutely. Filming during school terms requires strict safeguarding compliance. Background checks (DBS) where applicable, supervised access, and designated no-go zones will be enforced. UKL will provide full guidance.

The estate is largely private, though some areas (such as the church or public footpaths) may see occasional visitors. UKL can help manage stewarding or temporary closures if needed.

Yes. CCTV is in operation across parts of the estate. UKL and the estate team will advise on any areas under active monitoring.
