Student welfare
Here at Stonyhurst, pastoral care is extremely important. The health and well-being of our students is something that we are always thinking about. To guarantee very close supervision and care for all our students, Stonyhurst Summer School employs dedicated welfare staff who are experienced in all aspects of student care. This includes a Head of Pastoral Care, and Night Duty staff in each of our accommodation areas.
All staff are responsible for the pastoral care of students and are provided with information about the overall supervision of students and procedures by the Head of Pastoral Care and Designated Safeguarding Lead, during their induction.
Your child can talk to his or her teachers, coaches and activity leaders throughout the course and with the help of our Head of Pastoral Care we offer individual support, answer questions and resolve any educational or pastoral issues as and when needed.
Our school nurse team are on site every evening for a ‘drop-in’ surgery. Our students are always accompanied by one of our dedicated team members to ensure wrap around care for all their needs.
“I am writing to thank you for taking good care of our students during this summer. Both the parents and we are delighted with their progress and they did have a fantastic experience with you. The parents really appreciate your hard work!”
