Genevieve OS 16

About Genevieve

I joined Stonyhurst College in 2014, going into Poetry after being awarded an academic scholarship for History; following in the footsteps of my older sister, Isabelle, who had joined in Poetry in 2012.

I had imagined that full boarding would be difficult to adjust to, but I immediately made great friends, who have turned out to be friends for life.

To this day, I miss brunch on a Sunday following mass in St Peter’s. I threw myself into extra-curricular life at Stonyhurst and enjoyed it all: from cross-country, to choir, to orchestra and debating.

I have recently graduated from New College, University of Oxford, and was inspired to read history for my degree by the wonderfully nuanced teaching of Mr Turner. I loved every minute in Higher Line at Stonyhurst – except 7pm studies!
