Andrea Morrison

Joined Stonyhurst in 2010

Andrea started dancing at the age of three and loved every second of performing, participating in many workshops at The Royal Ballet, The Northern Ballet and The Urdang Academy.

When Andrea caught “the acting bug” she focussed on performing Shakespeare and at age 17 was cast as Juliet in a North West tour of Romeo and Juliet.  When she left school, Andrea taught ballet, street dance and drama classes for local Youth Theatres, and continued to teach many aspects of dance and drama between contracts at LEGOLAND as part of their performance troop, in Germany performing in a children’s show and touring the UK performing in Shakespeare and educational shows.

At 22 Andrea was awarded a scholarship for the Professional Dancers and Teachers of Dance course and spent four years training in various dance styles, gaining her Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance DDI and DDE qualifications in Ballet, National, Modern and Tap.

Before joining the Stonyhurst Dance Academy, she taught dance and drama at various schools throughout the Northwest.  Andrea has added the BCA Cheerleading coach status, Zumba and Zumbatomic qualifications to the skills she shares with dance students at Stonyhurst.
