Hodder House go mining

PP1 and PP2 enjoyed a fantastic day at the National Coal Mining Museum in Wakefield.

Whilst there we enjoyed a workshop with Sally Fletcher who told us all about life down the mine in Victorian times. We also went underground – as far down as from the top of Blackpool Tower to the bottom! Whilst underground we explored how life might have been for a Victorian working child, right through to present day mining. We had a great time and brought some coal home with us too!
