Rhetoric Ski Trip to Panorama, Canada

During the Christmas holidays, 26 Rhetoricians and three staff enjoyed the trip of a lifetime as they visited the Rocky Mountains in British Columbia, Canada.  Five days of perfect snow, amazing instructors, virtually empty slopes and faultless hospitality gave every skier and snowboarder the opportunity to explore the mountains in idyllic conditions.

The Panorama ski resort – which was ski-in and ski-out, with the hotel situated right next to the slopes – was all that was expected and more, and whether beginners or advanced, every student had the best week they could have imagined.  The open-air hot springs offered an ideal way to unwind in the evenings after a day on the slopes.

Most importantly, the students’ behaviour was impeccable and they were all a credit to the College, with the Panorama staff often reporting how mature, well-mannered and what good company they all were.

The next Higher Line ski trip, for the present Syntax and Poetry, will re-visit Panorama in December 2019.
