Schola Cantorum gave a concert of Music from the Golden Age, on Friday 20th November in St. Peter’s Church at 7.30 pm.

The programme will included:

O nata lux de lumine                         Thomas Tallis

Civitas sancti tui                                William Byrd

Ave verum corpus                            William Byrd

Prevent us O Lord                             William Byrd

Almighty and everlasting God         Orlando Gibbons

This is the record of John                Orlando Gibbons

There was also a selection of organ music by Byrd and Gibbons.

It was an excellent recital of Renaissance choral and organ music, enjoyed by an audience of pupils, staff, parents and friends.
