LANX x Stonyhurst
On Made in The UK Day, we are delighted to announce the launch of our latest collaboration with British shoe company, LANX shoes. We are proud to be donating 20% of the profits from each shoe we sell to The Stonyhurst Foundation, exclusively focused on widening access to a Stonyhurst education.
The link with Stonyhurst and LANX was born through the joint love for Lancashire heritage and strong British roots. Being a local, OS, business owner many of Marco’s existing designs are named after places in the local area or influential people which have been meaningful to his upbringing and education, having strong links to Stonyhurst.
Between 9th March - 9th June, we will donate 20% of every LANX x Stonyhurst shoe sale to The Stonyhurst Foundation. The funds raised will go towards helping disadvantaged children who otherwise would not have the benefit of a Stonyhurst education.

The Stonyhurst Foundation's Director's Message
We believe that a Stonyhurst education is a springboard to a life of purpose. The school seeks to inspire its pupils to go out into the world to make a difference, as ‘men and women for others’. Making Stonyhurst the best it can be means making the Stonyhurst Foundation the most ambitious provider of bursaries and fee assistance in Catholic education in the UK. "My Incredible 7 year journey at Stonyhurst began at St Mary's Hall in 2007 and it began with a bursary. I was granted a place in the school that would shape my education but my entire person. A bursary is more than just financial support, it is an investment of faith in a child. It taught me to greatly value my education, even from a young age, it gave me everything. This attitude, discovered at age 11, developed directly into the mentality of hard work and self-belief that was necessary for me to continue my studies at Cambridge University, and truly make the most of it. The details...
LANX are no strangers to embracing statement designs and this collaboration is no different. The limited-edition ‘mini range’ includes a men’s shoe and boot for casual or more formal occasions. Both products feature the Ribble Aster Tweed from the Stonyhurst College blazers on the exterior panels, the iconic Borrodale tartan from the girls’ skirts subtly lining the interior of the shoe and the Stonyhurst logo neatly embossed on the sole.
The history of the Borrodale tartan
The Stonyhurst Borrodale tartan has a fascinating British history in itself, first being said to have been part of a kilt worn by Prince Charles Edward Stuart during the period of the 1745 Jacobite Rising. More recently, a bolt of this tartan material was gifted to the Queen on a visit to Stonyhurst in 1991 and later being made into a pair of trousers for HRH The Prince Edward.
