Chaplaincy Events Next Half Term

There are a host of Chaplaincy events taking place next half term, including our Campion Day celebrations.

 

Pupil Events:

  • Environment Week, 1-7 November. Pupils will have the option to be involved in a range of activities, which will be launched to them on Monday 1st  by our Environmental Society Pupils.
  • Red Wednesday, 24 November. Pupils will be asked to donate £1 to dress in red home clothes, to raise awareness of the plight of persecuted Christians. The college will be lit up in red, to join the annual national movement to shine a light on this issue.

 

Parent Events:

  • Introduction to Ignatian Spirituality, 21st November, 2:00pm (via Zoom). All parents are invited to a one-hour introductory session on Ignatian Spirituality, to learn more about the ethos that underpins all that we do at Stonyhurst. All levels of experience are welcome. To register your interest, please email our Director of Christian Formation, Catherine Crombie c.crombie@stonyhurst.ac.uk by 1st November.
  • Campion Day Mass, 1st December, time and arrangements TBC closer to the time, in consideration of covid-19 procedures. All parents are warmly invited to join with us via the livestream link, which is currently scheduled for 4:00pm, but subject to change: https://youtu.be/hu327vCa9Yo
  • Parent Retreat, 10th December, PM. This Retreat is being offered in person and will be on the theme of Advent. No prior experience of Retreat is required, and all Faith groups and none are most welcome. This Retreat will be an invitational time for reflection and prayer, ending with the College Carol Service. To register your interest, please email our Director of Christian Formation, Catherine Crombie c.crombie@stonyhurst.ac.uk by 1st November.
  • College Carol Service, 10th December, 3:00pm. Full details will be sent out closer to the time.
