Christmas trail running outing

Eight hardy runners from Syntax, Poetry and Rhetoric set off early on 5th December for a trip up to the Lake District. The group took in a circuitous route of the South Lakes, running through parts of Grizedale Forest and around Tarn Hows. The weather was crisp, and the day had a festive feel with runners wearing Santa hats, along with the snow capped peaks of Coniston Old Man, Wetherlam and the Langdales providing a scenic backdrop along the way. In the end the total distance covered was 18km over an undulating multi-terrain course, all runners successfully completing and finishing as a group. Well done to all!

Après trails we ventured to Ambleside where most partook in a warming drink and cake!

The runners were accompanied by Mr McGarvery and Mr Wilmore, as well as Ms Chadwick who provided medical cover and logistical support to the group.
