Liberty's Cricket Success

It’s certainly not been a restful summer holiday for one of our hugely talented Rhetoricians.

Liberty has been massively busy on the cricket fields over the last 8 weeks, and her talents have been recognised by various regional and representative teams.

For Lancashire U18s, Liberty has been very consistent with the bat in the ECB U18 County Competition. She has been averaging 48 runs from just 6 innings, leaving her as one of the leading run scorers in England.

For the North West Thunder Academy, Liberty attended a festival in early August at Shrewsbury School. This involved the best young girls from around the country and Liberty found herself in the top 5 wicket takers from over a 100 participants. She scored a blistering 76 runs off only 54 balls against The Lightening Academy on day 2 of the festival.

On the back of these performances, Liberty has been selected for the School Games at Loughborough University in September. This is a huge achievement and, in cricketing terms, will feature the best 39 under 19 female players in England.

This squad of talented ladies will play against each other in a 3-team competition. More details can be found here www.schoolgamesfinals.org

A huge congratulations to Liberty 🏏
