Rudiments pupils visit ‘Van Gogh Alive’ exhibition at Salford’s Media City | Art

In art this term, Rudiments pupils have been studying the works of Van Gogh and some of the pupils were lucky enough to visit an exhibition of his work at Salford Media City.  The exhibition, ‘Van Gogh Alive’, gave the children a unique opportunity to immerse themselves into Van Gogh’s artistry and truly venture into his world in person.

The children found themselves interacting with art in ways they had never imagined, surrounded by a vibrant symphony of light, colour, sound and fragrance as they wandered around the absorbing exhibition. Van Gogh’s masterpieces came to life before their very eyes and gave the children a sensation of walking right into his paintings. For some pupils, this became reality as you can see in one of the photographs of his bedroom! The exhibition was simultaneously enchanting, entertaining and educational and enjoyed by all of the pupils.
