Last week saw Maths Week England take centre stage in the lower part of the school at SMH as all children from Hodder House to Elements took part in a nationwide Times Tables Rockstars battle. Competing against almost 800,000 school children across the country, Lucas (Y6) managed to come in 33rd place! This was an outstanding achievement for Lucas who has shown time and again that his speed and recall of times tables is right up there with the best in the country. His current times table speed of 0.38 secs, puts him way above the teachers in the school standings too! Lucas is well on his way to becoming a member of the Rockstar Hall of Fame!
Well done Lucas and to all the children who took part. Maths Week was again a real success and long may this love of maths and times tables continue here at St. Mary’s Hall!
