Winners of the Giggleswick U14 7s Tournament 2023!

The Lower Grammar team travelled over to Giggleswick for their first 7s tournament of the year.
The first game didn’t go to plan with Harrogate GS taking the win at the end. However, this did not discourage the boys as they faced Mount St Mary’s in what was a competitive match, with Bob being hugely impactful and scoring multiple tries off kick off. This resulted in a win allowing the boys to continue to build momentum going into the next game against Bradford GS.
They had a very convincing win with James and George also making some great runs through the defence to produce some high quality tries.
Stonyhurst managed another dominant win against AKS where Tom organised the attack well, with Felipe producing some great offloads to set up some great tries for the other players.
A good performance was required from Stonyhurst against a strong Giggleswick side where the boys produced some excellent defence, led by Freddie.
It came down to the final play, where Michalis produced a fantastic try, breaking down the wing to win the tournament.
