The annual Poetry Banquet was as successful as ever this year, raising £12,000 for the Stonyhurst Children’s Holiday Week Trust. Every student in Poetry (year 12) contributed to make the evening the sparkling event it was, by waiting at tables, providing entertainment, making the opening speech, selling raffle tickets or running the auction.  A guest appearance from The Dead Poets, Rhetoric’s jazz band led by Anthony Chow, and a casino also helped to keep the 220 guests entertained throughout.

Congratulations to everyone involved, and to the Poetry Banquet Committee 2015: Dominic Sparks, Noah Williams, Jamie Singleton, Lucy Harriss, Milly Bolton, Kate Halpin and  Aitana Giebels van Bekestein. Their hard work will enable children from local special schools to have a week’s holiday this summer.
