Open days and Visits

It is difficult to fully convey the special nature of the College on screen or paper. The best way to find out more about Stonyhurst and decide if it is right for your child is to come and visit.

We hold annual open days for the College (13 - 18 years) during the Christmas term, along with an open evening that focuses specifically on sixth form options (16 - 18 years). Further Open Doors sessions for Stonyhurst College are held in March to provide a less formal opportunity to see the schools in action.

Attending one of our open events is a great way to experience the full spectrum of the school. There will be the opportunity to meet many of our academic and pastoral staff, go on a tour of the school and experience taster lessons across all subjects. You can also watch a range of sport and co-curricular activities. We hold our open days when school is in session, so you will meet current students and get a true taste of life at Stonyhurst.

For families who are unable to attend an open day, or those who want to take a second look before making that all-important decision, we also offer tailored visits.  A member of our admissions team will liaise with you to find out whether there are any aspects of the school that are especially important to you, and we will make sure that the visit includes a more detailed look at those areas. For example, if your child is a tennis ace we will arrange a tour of the tennis facilities with our Director of Tennis, or if they love science we will ensure that you meet the subject teachers and see a practical lesson in action.

To organise a tailored visit, please complete an enquiry form and one of our Registrars will contact you to make the arrangements
