At Stonyhurst St Mary’s Hall Pre-Prep, our Early Years provision offers a nurturing, structured environment where young children can thrive. Alongside our child-centred approach to learning, we provide flexible term-time childcare, funded early education places, wrap-around care and a clear framework of fees and policies to support families. Stonyhurst St Mary’s Hall offers funded early education places for eligible 3–4 year olds during term time.

Parents may choose full-time or part-time attendance, or any combination of sessions, subject to availability.

Meals & Snacks

Meals and snacks are included in the hourly rate. Children receive a healthy mid-morning snack and a warm lunch cooked on site in the school kitchen. If children remain in school between 5.00pm and 6.00pm, they also receive a cooked tea.

Milk and water are available throughout the day. Children may bring their own water bottles if they wish.

If a child is claiming funding during a morning session that includes lunch, a charge of £3.10 is made. Parents may alternatively provide a packed lunch.
No charge is made for tea.

Non-Food Consumables

Opt-Out Policy & Reasonable Alternatives

Parents may opt out of any trip or visit. Where this occurs, we will either offer an alternative session to compensate for time, not charge for that session, or care for the child within the Pre-Prep building (subject to staffing ratios).

Parents may provide lunches for their child where applicable. No additional charge is made for meals and snacks unless stated within funded sessions.

School Uniform

All Pre-Prep pupils are required to wear school uniform, including sports kit. Uniform is compulsory, and all branded items must be purchased through our official supplier, Stevensons. Families receive a full uniform list on acceptance, along with guidance on ordering online. Stevensons also host an annual on-site pop-up shop during the summer to support new starters.
