Three recent OS have joined leading global investment bank Goldman Sachs in London.

Owen McDermott OS (2013) joined Goldman Sachs in the Sales & Trading team on a full-time basis as of March 2017.  Since leaving Stonyhurst with 2A* and 1A grade at A Level, Owen studied Geography with Economics at the London School of Economics, where he captained the LSE Rugby 1st XV.  While at LSE Owen completed an internship at UBS AG.

Karolin Reuther OS (2015) completed the Pre-IB and then the International Baccalaureate at Stonyhurst before beginning a BSc in Political Economy at King’s College London.  Karolin is undertaking a summer internship within the Credit Risk Management and Advisory Group at Goldman Sachs and has previously completed an internship at BNP Paribas in New York.  Karolin will graduate from King’s in 2018.

Flora Elisabeth Berz OS (2011) joined Stonyhurst in Grammar and is currently studying at WHU- Otto Beisheim School of Management in Germany.  A skiing instructor and current Chair of Monetary Economics at WHU, Flora is also undertaking a summer internship within the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs and has previously completed an internship

at “Strategy&” – the global strategy consulting team at PwC.  Flora will graduate from WHU in 2018.

Stonyhurst Governor Stephen Withnell OS was recently able to meet up with all three of our recent leavers in London.  Stephen is Managing Director responsible for Metals and Mining Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.  Stephen is an alumnus of both Stonyhurst and of St. Ignatius’ College Riverview in Australia.  He is a Governor of Westminster Cathedral Choir School and sits on the Investments Committee of the British Jesuit Province.
