It was a very busy but thoroughly enjoyable week for our exchange guests from Lycée Ribot, Saint-Omer when they visited last month. The pupils gained a huge amount from taking part in lessons and having tours around various parts of the college, including the cellars with Mr Ridout. Playing cricket and croquet was challenging due to the weather, but the group enjoyed a tennis tournament in the dome with Mr Goodwin and they found their way around the school once again by playing Stonyhurst monopoly! The rain held off for enjoyable trips to Liverpool, Manchester and the Lake District, where the highlights were the Cavern Club, the Trafford Centre and the views from the steam train. Stonyhurst pupils and staff gained a huge amount from the visit too and it was a true pleasure getting to know each other and indeed, finding out more about the architectural and locational beginnings of Stonyhurst. Huge thanks to Mr Ansell, Mr Morley and the Languages team for organising and hosting. From all at Stonyhurst, bon retour et à l’année prochaine!
