Our social enterprise challenge for this term has been 'the tenner challenge', where all pupils received £10 to start their own business. The challenge is for them to make as much profit as possible from that £10. Two of the teams were quick off the mark. The girls cashed in on chocolate goodies and then made home baked goods to sell throughout the first week. They made an amazing £120 profit! Another of our groups cashed in on the stock market...yes the stock market. They needed a little more money for their business idea, so they clubbed together to put £50 on the stock market and in 2.5 days they made and extra £7 - a 14% return. Fantastic entrepreneurial spirit from all our pupils.
