Routes of Study

A Choice for Every Learning Style

Sixth Form life offers endless opportunities and navigating the best path for future outcomes can feel overwhelming. With subject choices often determining future university courses, and future careers, it is worth getting to know what’s on offer before committing to a pathway of learning at aged 16. Our Sixth Form offers three pathways of study – A level, International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP) or the Cambridge Technical Diploma in Business or Sport. Each route provides a wide range of subjects to choose from and our teaching staff will be happy to discuss the available options, and help you to make the best decisions for your future. Offering the choice three programmes means that at Stonyhurst we can cater to a wide range of learning styles and interests.

We achieve high academic results, and every pupil is enabled to fulfil his or her potential through our exceptionally high standard of teaching and pastoral care. Personal tutors, the Deputy Head and the Careers Department guide pupils in the important decisions they make about their future and through
the university application process.
