The Christian Heritage Centre
The recently opened Christian Heritage Centre at Stonyhurst provides facilities for education and study, for Christian leadership formation, and opportunities for religious retreats. Housed in the beautifully restored and renewed Old Mills at Stonyhurst, renamed Theodore House, the Christian Heritage Centre is intended to be a place of encounter and dialogue – a unique environment in which to draw on Britain and Stonyhurst’s unique Christian story.
Theodore House is operated commercially by a subsidiary of The CHC as an idyllic location for both peaceful B&B accommodation, as well as flexible, ultramodern facilities for conferences, events, launches, seminars and business meetings. With its unique offering Theodore House hopes to be able to offer memorable experiences, whether it be for a personal stay, a retreat or for a business event.
Theodore House is named after St Theodore of Tarsus, a 7th century Archbishop of Canterbury who worked for Christian unity within the British Isles. It has 39 beds, a library, two seminar rooms, a lecture theatre, and a refectory for the use of visitors, retreatants and scholars.
