Thomas Weld Legacy Society Annual Lunch

Our Thomas Weld Legacy Society Annual Lunch took place in the Top Refectory on Saturday 15th October.  The Headmaster welcomed our guests by introducing himself and speaking of his future vision for Stonyhurst.  He also spoke passionately about what he has learned about the culture of Stonyhurst since he arrived, highlighting the family bonds that Stonyhurst creates between pupils, OS and parents.

Curator Jan Graffius, gave a presentation on Stonyhurst’s links to many important religious and secular figures through history.  These were detailed through our Collections and included Mary Queen of Scot’s prayer book, a Crucifix belonging to the family of Thomas More and our links with the Easter Rising in 1916.
