Drama and Theatre Studies students experienced the power of puppetry in a theatre workshop with OS actor Martin Wenner. Grammar, Syntax, Poetry and Rhetoric students worked together in the Academy Room to create their own horses through puppetry, inspired by the National Theatre’s touring production of ‘War Horse’. The challenge of making the ‘horses’ come to life through the use of balloons as heads and sticks as legs was relished by all. All Drama students were able to experience the skills behind physical puppetry first hand and had an excellent day. Thank you to the Development Office for forming this partnership between Martin Wenner and the Drama Department.
